Photographs help you remember things that happened in the past. That's nice sometimes. But there are some things that people don't want to remember, some things that they prefer to keep secret. And if you have photographs of other people's secrets, what do you do with them? Secrets can be bought and sold - especially in the world of horse-racing, where large amounts of money change hands frequently and quickly.

George Millace is a photographer. He is good at taking photographs of other people's secrets, and he has a clever way of hiding his photographs. When he dies suddenly, Philip Nore accidently finds his hidden photographs. Philip is not only a racehorse rider, but also a good photographer, and he begins to uncover George's photographic secrets. Then he learns that he is not the only person interested in these photographs - but he is the only one who doesn't want to destroy them.
